Problém celku v kontextu vzdělávání (nejen environmentálního) (2/VI/2009)

Autor: Jana Dlouhá

Abstract: The “Whole” as a Philosophical Problem in the Context of (not only Environmental) Education. (Article) – The “whole” is a term that in the context of scientific knowledge is perceived as a more or less concrete, affecting entity which can be constructed as a “sum of parts”. In the field of education, on the other hand, it cannot be understood like that – it is rather an unreachable horizon that points to a “holistic” meaning of the universe, including human life. The concept of the educational “whole” (from which the foundations of pedagogical discourse have been derived and which is still implicitly embedded in its methodology) cannot be based on various scientific theories that make an attempt to be “holistic”. Its reflection must be embedded in philosophical considerations, otherwise it runs the risk of becoming a powerful ideological tool. Education (from the Latin educere) meaning leading and supporting life motion, growth and development, is based on holistic knowledge in the philosophical sense, it is in relationship with the world that needs continuous care. Education then has to lead not only to an understanding of the “whole” of human life, but also of the “whole” of the world that is inhabited by not only human creatures – thus environmental holism should be defined as an approach essential for having a stake in and engaging in this world.

Keywords: the whole, holism, system theories, epimeleia, enviornmental education

Klíčová slova: Celek, holismus, systémové teorie, epimeleia, environmentální vzdělávání

Úvahy nad lidským určením. Věnováno filosofickému a životnímu učiteli mnohých

(3–4/VI/2009)

Autor: Jana Dlouhá

Abstract: Reflections on Human Purpose. Dedicated to the Philosophical and Life Teacher for Many. (Article) – The article is based on the thesis that environment which is naturally inhospitable then colonized by living beings – their role is to overcome this hostility and thus (through instinctive activity of non-human beings, or consciously by humans) create its hospitable character. Human world is good when possibility to trust and believe (each other) is opened. This (mutual) trust is not based (only) on an abstract idea but depends substantially on the personal commitment to act upon it, share and thus realize it in reality. (Not rational consideration and reasoned act but rather) this committed activity then opens spaces for dialogue in which others can participate and also develop individually as human beings throughout whole their lives. For opening of such a space we thank to our teacher, Professor Radim Palouš.

Autor: Petr Drkula

Abstract: To Reimer’s Understandig of Notion “Artistic Creation”. (Article) – Anglo-American discussion of recent years concerned with a fundamental aspects of music creativity also proceeds in sphere of music education with general views of this subject. A conception of B. Reimer is perceived as one of the main direction that is based on his theory of creative artistic expressivity. Evaluation of the Reimer’s conclusions consists in his critique of actual ways of defining creativity. A significant attribute of his theoretical approach is a rejection of communication as a principle of music creativity as well as a dissociation of artistic creation from making.

Clarification, Elimination and Education: Hacker and Churchland on the Dissolution of Philosophical Puzzles and the Impact of their Views on Education (1/VI/2009)

Autor: Renia Gasparatou

Keywords: Peter Michael Stephan Hacker, Paul Montgomery Churchland, naturalism, conceptual analysis, dissolution, education

Pojetí dokonalého jazyka u Komenského a Leibnize I (1/VI/2009)

Autor: Tomáš Grulich

Abstract: The Concept of the Perfect Language for Comenius and Leibniz I. (Article) – The author shows: (1) which ideas and principles effort to create an artificial, universal language of Comenius on the one hand and Leibniz on the other hand has been led along, (2) to what rules or schemas their views and resolutions were incarnated, and how it can be interpreted; and finally (3) the author compares the two projects through their approach to Lullus’s conceptual combinatorics. An aim is to discover a cause of their superficial similarities and fundamental differences, distinct conceptions of rationality, hence views of a role of a language in an understanding of reality. In conclusion, questions that arise in solving the problem of application of recent formal logic in nonmathematical fields are asked, especially for a theory of an argumentation in social sciences. An attempt to understand, to compare and to evaluate Comenius’s and Leibniz’s projects become a stimulus for a reflection of the ethos of the logic of a dialogue and a relationship between an understanding and a mathematical, formal modeling.

Jsme rozhovorem! (Seit ein Gespräch wir sind!) (3–4/VI/2009)

Autor: Anna Hogenová

Abstract: Since a Dialogue We Have Been! (Article) – Phenomenological analysis of speech shows a misinterpretation of Greek term alétheia as something uncovered instead of original meaning of not to be hidden. It is the speech itself, which is responsible for hiding and keeping things not coming into open. But original Platonic latency has been replaced by an oblivion in our philosophical tradition so we all have lost a relation to this original latency.

Keywords: speech, intentionality, noesis and noema

Klíčová slova: řeč, intencionalita, noeze a noema

Dva aspekty myšlení: znak a jeho fungování v lidské představivosti (2/VI/2009)

Autor: Mikuláš Horský

Abstract: Two Aspects of Thought: Sign and its Function in Human Imagination. (Article) – The author searches proofs of functioning of a metaphor and a metonomy, which he considers analogical to terms an icon and an index from CH. S. Peirce’s semiotic. These proofs are found in the animated nature, outwards human consciousness. The presence of these two correlation aspects in a phylogenesis is unable to explain an human usage of an arbitrary sign (symbol in Peirce’s terminology), which disagrees with naturalist and materialistic theories of life phylogenesis, because the human consciousness itself has a character of a sign (which is stressed e. g. by L. S. Vygotsky). So the possibility of the usage of a symbol is sought with a help of a platonic myth of the cave.

Keywords: metaphor, metonymy, sign, arbitrariness of the sign, unconsciousness, phylogenesis, platonic myth of the cave

Klíčová slova: metafora, metonymie, znak, arbitrárnost znaku, nevědomí, fylogeneze, mýtus o jeskyni

Autor: David Rybák

Abstract: The Education as Erotic Becoming of Self in the Work of Jaroslava Pešková. (Article) – In this text we want to show the concept of education in view of Jaroslava Pešková’s thinking of the structure of human being, which not only is in various relations, but also has the relationship to all this relations. Co se můžeme naučit pozorováním důkazu Pythagorovy věty (1/VI/2009)

Autor: Martin Semerád

Abstract: What Can Be Learned from Contemplation of Proof of Pythagorean Theorem. (Article) – The first goal of philosophy is to postulate a meaningful question in the situations, where others deem there can be no doubt. The simplest thing for nowadays mathematicians – Pythagorean Theorem – would be transform to the keystone of the gate of a new way of thinking. This paper is a small part of the very old question of Finality, Infinity, Monads, Points and Nil, which always states beyond the creation of disunion. It rehabilitates the old Euclid’s intuition, which says: “The whole is always greater than the part” and also postulates the plausible antithesis to the existing math theories.

Život jako liturgie (3–4/VI/2009)

Autor: Zuzana Svobodová

Abstract: Life as Liturgy. (Article) – The article presents reflections over a human’s situation – as one of substantial dependence – and examines ways of accessing this dependence. Author explores the meaning of the expressions overt and covert soul (cf. Jan Patočka), goes on to search for the soul’s likeness and its potential of movement, and reveals the human need for relationship. With the example of liturgical space and liturgical action author presents ways to create and care for this constitutive element of life. This is why liturgical space is called educational space by author, and the human is depicted as one who is called beforehand to keep in the process of becoming a living temple – i.e. a place, where the dialogical nature is freely accepted and developed.

Tematizace významu ve výchově (3–4/VI/2009)

Autor: Jana Šturzová

Abstract: Theme of Meaning in Education. (Article) – The specification of the term “meaning in education” is connected to the contemporary determinate approach of values. The determination of the education aims requires the permanent reflexion of the contemporary values. The formation of values is done in the natural world not in the world of the objective science. That’s why it is very important for education to concentrate to this area of life.

Paradox mravní výchovy (1/VI/2009)

Autor: Radim Palouš

Abstract: Paradox of Moral Education. (Paper) – When Ricoeur talks about moral education, he demands nondistortion of the real world, which is always already present in our perception. It is necessary to disclose a source of our inner ethic values – this is the only true morality, when we are able to look up at this horizont of our moral estimations, however this horizont is fading from our look, everytime we want to fix it and make it rigorous. In this case, neither an evidence nor a habit can help us and it is also necessary to forbear from an automatization of behavior by means of habits.

Keywords: ethos, moral education, Ricoeur, moral values, responsibility, habit

Klíčová slova: étos, mravní výchova, Ricoeur, hodnoty, odpovědnost, zvyk
